Abhishek Bachchan is doing a bhang number in his next upcoming flick 'Guru'

Abhishek Bachchan is doing a bhang number in his next upcoming flick 'Guru'. It will remind of Big B, as Abhi is so much like his father. Aishwarya Rai is also a part of this song. It shoots in Badami, Karnataka. It involved climbing all the way up to Tirupathi and then returning. Song choreographer Brinda said, "It was so surprising that none of the stars complained and the climb did not affect their energy to perform too."

Abhishek and Lara's shooting at a London Gurudwara upsets worshippers

After Katrina Kaif’s encounter at a religious shrine in Ajmer, India, it’s now Abhishek Bachchan and Lara Dutta who have invited the wrath of worshippers at a Gurudwara in London. Abhi and Lara are shooting for Yash Raj film ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ directed by Shaad Ali. The film also stars Preity Zinta and Bobby Deol and is currently being shot in London. According to sources many of the worshippers complained of the inconvenience that the stars presence had caused at the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Southall in London. Worshippers were also upset as some of the crew members were seen smoking, indulging in eating meat and women were scantily dressed on the Gurudwara premises.
Shooting at various holy shrines seems to be the most popular destination for bollywood films recently. Many filmmakers have been using religious sites to shoot their film sequences. A source says “It was really shocking. Scantily clad women in miniskirts and sleeveless tops not only pranced around, but the crew openly ate meat and smoked cigarettes in the gurudwara premises with little regard for the religious sentiments of the people.” The crew was first shooting some sequences at a pub near the gurudwara, but later when the cast and crew shifted to shoot a sequence at the gurudwara they were followed by a large number of young teenagers. The ruckus created by the youngsters also disrupted the peaceful ambience and many of the devotees were unable to pray peacefully due to the noise.
The film unit had received permission to shoot a song sequence in the parking lot of the shrine. Abhishek and Lara shot an intimate dance sequence with four scantily clad girls in front of the gurudwara. However president of the gurudwara Himmat Sohi said “This is a propaganda being spread by some disgruntled members who are playing politics amongst members.” However Sohi confirms that some of the crew members did smoke on the premises but they were unaware about the rules of the gurudwara and when they were informed they promptly apologized for their behaviour. He also did confirmed that some devotees did complain about the noise and chaos caused by the shooting but were later placated when an apology for the inconvenience was tendered and the problem was solved.
Basically there were no problems from any of the officials in the gurudwara and whatever minor problems did occur was immediately sorted out. So after these incidents perhaps filmmakers will be more careful while shooting sequences for their films at holy shrines.

Ash-Abhishek in Yash Raj's next?

The audience will perhaps have an overdose of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan this year. They have a spate of films lined up. They will soon be seen in UMRAO JAAN, DHOOM 2, GURU and SARKAR 2. Looks like the smashing jodi is all set to rule hearts this Diwali. Well not only that, their fans are in for yet another treat! If the grapevine is to be believed, they have signed another film together. Yash Raj's next venture to be directed by an in-house debutant will see them sizzle again. However Aishwarya's Business Manager, Harii Singh said that he was not aware of any such news.
But for now keep your eyes glued to UMRAO JAAN and DHOOM 2 that has them in diametrically different looks!
Incidentally Abhishek Bachchan has been roped in as the brand ambassador for BIG FM Chennai, radio station. The ADAG Adlabs radio venture will take off in Chennai and Hyderabad next week. South starlet Asin is the female brand ambassador.

I was never rude to immigration officials: Abhishek

Abhishek Bachchan is aghast at media reports that he had asked immigration officials in England if he should "drop his pants" during a customary investigation. "I don't speak like that," he said curtly.
"I was aghast when I saw myself quoted with these cheap words all over the net. Firstly, I don't speak like that. Secondly, I'd never be rude to officials who are merely doing their job. It's not their intention to harass you. Considering what the world situation is, we must all cooperate and be patient," Abhishek told IANS from Paris where he is currently shooting.
Having completed a chunk of the shooting of Shaad Ali's "Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom" in London he moved with the unit to Paris, where they will be parked for some time.
However, in spite of his busy schedule, Abhishek is all set to fly down to India to be with his father on his birthday on Oct 11.
Though no celebrations are on the cards this year, Abhishek makes it a point to be near his dad every year for his birthday.
"I miss home, specially since my grandmother is in the hospital. Also, the release of the 'Umrao Jaan's music soundtrack - it was a big moment for all of us who have been working on this project. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible for the music company to hold over the release until my return. Nor was it practical for me to fly back to Mumbai for a day. So, I just had to miss the occasion."
Abhishek says that the music of "Umrao Jaan" starring Aishwarya Rai in the title role is different.
"I'm very proud of the soundtrack. It's very different from what we hear these days and far removed from the hip-hop that I've been identified with, but nonetheless very charming. I'm very fond of the music. J.P. saab, Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar have an extraordinary tuning."
Back in Paris, Abhishek refuses to be flattered by being chosen as Asia's sexiest man by a magazine.
"I don't even know what sexy means. These are appellations best not taken seriously. But, yes, I'm deeply humbled and flattered because I've never ever thought of myself as anywhere near sexy. However, if people have voted for me, then I respect that. But I'm certainly not going to suddenly acquire an extra swagger just because I've been called sexy.
"From where I come, I've seen both the highs and the lows. It's temporary. And the trick of survival is not to take the trappings seriously. There's no guarantee for a tomorrow in show business. Admitted my dad has proved to be a survivor. But they don't make his kind of entertainers every day."
Speaking of rudeness, a Lucknow scholar who plays the role of Rusva (the man who wrote Umrao's biography) in "Umrao Jaan", is quoted as saying: "Abhishek's well-sculpted body is far outweighed by his arrogance."
Chuckles Abhishek: "I've never met this gentleman. And the proof of this fact lies in the fact that he has called my body well-sculpted."

Abhishek Bachchan is sexiest Asian male

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan tops a list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men in a survey conducted by Eastern Eye, an Asian newspaper published in Britain.
Abhishek, who was on number three last year, was shocked to hear he had topped the ranking in Eastern Eye's Sexiest Asian Men of 2006.
"Oh God really? That's interesting. Shocking actually. Are people blind? But wow, I would like to thank everyone. I don't agree with them but it is sweet," said Abhishek in a press statement.
Indian actress Priyanka Chopra was voted Sexiest Asian Woman of 2006 in last week's edition of the Asian tabloid.
Actor John Abraham, who won the Eastern Eye's title last year, is at number two. British Asian boxer Amir Khan is at third place, making him the sexiest male of the community in 2006 - a stunning rise from 44th place last year that reflects his boxing achievements this year.
"I am regularly informed by our female readers and staff about how 'fit' Abhishek is. He should be overjoyed. At least he can now claim to have won an honour that his legendary father has not," said Hamant Verma, editor of Eastern Eye.
Amitabh Bachchan was ranked at number 16. Other British Asians in the list include singer Jay Sean and actor Naveen Andrews.
The list was compiled by the staff at Eastern Eye, Britain's most popular Asian newspaper, and published in its Sep 22 edition.
"Abhishek was on top because of his appeal to the thinking woman. Having successfully stepped out of his father's shadows as an actor in his own right, he will surely build on that with roles in 'Umrao Jaan', 'Dhoom 2' and 'Guru' this year," said reporter Gouri Sharma, who compiled the list with colleague Anjali Mehta.
"No doubt his famous stubble will become fashionable with young Asian men across the country," added Gouri.
The top 10 sexiest Asian men are:
1 Abhishek Bachchan 2 John Abraham 3 Amir Khan 4 Hrithik Roshan/ Dino Morea 6 Yatin Sonic 7 Upen Patel 8 Arjun Rampal 9 Saif Ali Khan 10 Jay Sean

Chelsea stars in Abhishek Bachchan starrer

The quintessential English game of cricket has featured in Indian films such as "Lagaan" and "Iqbal", but now football is all set to be weaved into an Abhishek Bachchan starrer that will feature the popular club Chelsea.
The film, titled "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom", will feature Chelsea stars such as Frank Lampard and John Terry.
The film is about the life and loves of Rikki, a Chelsea fan living in London and going to watch his heroes each week. Rikki is played by Abhishek Bachchan. Producers Yash Raj films are in talks with Chelsea about getting some of the players and manager Jose Mourinho to make cameo appearances in the multimillion pound film. It will be released globally in the spring - when the club hopes it will win a third successive Premiership title.
Chelsea's business affairs director Paul Smith said: "We are delighted to be involved in a Bollywood movie and we take it as a big compliment to be approached with this storyline and to be associated with this calibre of actors and actresses.
"We have been looking at ways to reach out to the Brit-Asian community and play a leading role by involving them more in football. We already host the Asian Cup final and we are now sponsoring a major Asian community award in London."
Smith added: "We are also looking to Asia, particularly India, as part of the strategy of extending the Chelsea brand into new markets. The strategy is focused on media and the power of communicating the club's image. Nothing compares with the glamour and appeal of Bollywood and its stars."
The film was shot in London this summer and features Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, ex-Miss World Aishwarya Rai, Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta.
The cast also includes British Asian actors such as Ameet Chana, Meera Syal, her teenage daughter Millie Bhatia and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Abhishek Bhachchan told the Evening Standard, a local evening tabloid: "I'm a big Chelsea fan. I get all the games taped for me in India and watch them when I come home from the film sets.
"I love the sport and admire the pressure they perform under, week in and week out. One of my favourite players is John Terry and it has been great to see Chelsea live. London is great city and we love to make films in great cities."

Abhishek may act opposite Kareena

They made their debuts together in Bollywood with Refugee and later also acted together in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon . But then relations soured between Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor because of Abhishek’s broken engagement with Karisma Kapoor .
But now Abhishek and Kareena may act together in a forthcoming film. The occasion is the launch of two films under Raj Kapoor’s RK banner, to be directed by Randhir Kapoor and Rajeev Kapoor each, from December. This will be Randhir’s next after ‘Heena’ and Rajiv’s second after ‘Prem Granth’. Both the brothers are busy finalising the scripts and the pre-production work.
Randhir says, "It’s going to be a mega-launch. I don’t want to let out anything. I have grand plans. But yes, Kareena will hopefully play the lead in my film."
On casting Abhishek in the male lead, Randhir says, "As far as casting Abhishek as the male lead for the film is concerned, the RK banner had signed him for a film a couple of years ago. And now, the modalities are being worked upon. Issues like the availability of his dates and other such problems have to be taken into account. I don’t want to confirm or deny anything at this point. If I confirm and tomorrow it doesn’t happen, what’s the point?"
Rajeev, whose film is also going on the floors says, "All of us are professional, educated and cultured. We leave our personal problems at home. Yes, we have bumped into each other. After all, he is also my relative, yaar. There’s no awkwardness between us."
Seems like we will see Abhishek opposite Kareena soon.

Who can be Abhishek's wife? : HTTabloid.com
What is it about the fairer sex that makes men go weak-kneed? Looks, oomph factor or the vital stats? Well, ladies hold your breath as the hottest hunks from filmdom crack the code for us.
One of the most able bachelors, Abhishek Bachchan, feels getting attracted towards someone who is more social. Says he, "Being a very normal human being, I believe that a woman who is graceful and cares for her dignity, will always draw my attention. I don't believe in the idea of an ideal woman in life. Any woman who loves me and my family is an ideal woman for me."
Asked if he has found anyone in the industry with grace and dignity, he answers, "There are so many ladies but the only problem is that once you name someone and it gets misinterpreted. Even when you work with someone professionally, people start linking you with that woman. This is very unfortunate," explains Abhishek.
